It was my plan B and barely used it, I got 5 matches, rejected one date request and went on two pleasant dates.Lots of women are above my league but those who match are more interesting, kind and more interested in myself. My opinion of Hinge is therefore very grim: another app with a worse design than others, that is mostly used by people wasting your time and is very expensive to use. The other problem is the prompts and the fact that most people don't fully fill their profile. I have found the quality to be really bad on average, I am not talking about the look (that it's not great either) but personality: a lot of broken, boring, selfish and narcissistic people. To be honest I was really generous in swiping right in the beginning to try to have the algorithm work well (it was still at 90% left) and I truly liked 3 matches but then they either went with someone else or had red flags. I had to swipe a LOT to finally start seeing women that I would swipe right and then I started to get likesģ0+ likes/matches (95% of them after I swiped them right) I paid for the monthly, this is 2 weeks of use. I (30M) had briefly used Hinge months ago without much success and back then I was getting a lot of likes on Bumble and therefore I deleted it.įast forward few months later and a failed relationship and I decided to give it another try while keeping Bumble as second option.
